Routing

Smart routing for every payment, automatically.

Send each transaction down the best available rail for cost, speed and success rate. Multi-acquirer, multi-rail, multi-currency, with failover built in and rules you can reconfigure as the market changes, without a release cycle.

    Branching network paths
    The challenge

One API. Every rail your market uses.

Payment routing is one of the least visible but most consequential capabilities in a banking platform. A transaction routed down a rail with a lower success rate fails for a customer who was trying to do something legitimate. A transaction routed down a more expensive rail costs the institution money on every payment. A transaction with no failover path leaves the customer with no resolution when the primary rail goes down.

For institutions in emerging markets, the problem is compounded by the diversity of rails. InstaPay and PESONet in the Philippines. NIP, NAPS and NIBSS Instant Payments in Nigeria. QRIS and BI-FAST in Indonesia. SWIFT for cross-border. Card acquirers. Mobile money processors. Each has different performance, cost and uptime profiles.

Manual routing decisions, or static configurations, cannot optimise across that diversity in real time. Oradian's routing engine applies configurable rules to every transaction, routes to the optimal available rail, and retries automatically on a backup when the primary fails, in milliseconds, without manual intervention.

    Routing capabilities

    One engine, every rail.

Rule-based routing, your logic, your priorities

Route by amount, currency, geography, recipient type, transaction type, time of day or any other signal. Rules are configured through the platform's parameterisation layer, when priorities change, configuration changes, no development sprint.

Optimise for what matters to your institution

Optimise for success rate, cost, speed, or a weighted combination. Define the objective for each transaction type or programme, and the engine routes accordingly.

Failover built in, automatic retry on backup

When the primary rail fails, the engine automatically retries on the next available rail that meets your rules. Customer transactions don't fail because a single rail is down.

    Local rails for every market

Pre-built integrations with InstaPay and PESONet, NIP and NIBSS, BI-FAST and QRIS, SWIFT for cross-border, plus card networks and mobile money. New rails plug in without re-architecting.

Real-time decisions in the transaction path

Routing decisions happen in milliseconds, in the path of the transaction, not as a pre-processing step. No perceptible delay to the customer-facing experience.

    Reconfigure without a release

When market conditions change, pricing, performance, new acquirers, routing configuration updates in minutes. No vendor ticket, no release cycle.

    AI in routing

    Where AI earns its place.

    Predictive success rate optimisation

AI models that predict real-time success rates for each rail, based on current performance, time of day, transaction characteristics and incident data, route dynamically to the rail with the highest predicted success at that specific moment.

    Cost optimisation across rails

Continuous, AI-driven cost optimisation routes each transaction to the lowest-cost rail that meets speed and success requirements, adjusting as pricing and performance change, without periodic manual reconfiguration.

    Mountain landscape at sunset

Route every payment the smart way.

Configurable routing across rails, providers and currencies, governed by policy, executed in real time.
